Representative: Charles Ndikumana
Charles studied Geography and History at the Burundi National University as well as Theology at the International Christian College in Glascow, Scotland. Between 1995-2001 Charles was employed as a secondary school head master, logistician and journalist. After having studied Theological studies in Glascow from 2002-2005, he returned to his home country, where he worked until 2008 as a Coordinator of Trauma Healing and Reconciliation ministry for a local Christian organization. Thereafter he, alongside his associates, had the vision to start CCW in order to uplift people living in critical conditions of life including traumatized and marginalized individuals. He is 49 years old & married to Rose with three Children. |
Administrator: Josué Nsengiyumva
Josué did BA Biology at the Burundi National University from 1985 to 1990. And was employed as Secondary school teacher from 1990-1992. From 1992-2001 he worked as the advisor of the Director at the National Institute for Environment and Nature Conservation. Afterwards, he was employed as a journalist and administrator for a local clinic from 2001- 2010. He joined Cup of Cool Water in 2011. Josué is 54 years old and is married with five children. |
Coordinator: Rose Nshimirimana
Rose started to work as a nurse at the Butezi Private Hospital in 1994 and continued to work with the organisation Médecins Sans Frontière from 1996–1998 in Kinyinya (Ruyigi Province). Afterwards she was employed as a nurse at the Kinyinya Public Hospital (1999 – 2000). Since 2001 she works in the Life Clinic in Bujumbura. Having experienced orphan’s life herself, she was much interested about CCW programmes to assist orphans. She also enoys being a nurse because she is pleased to serve the sick. Rose is 43 years old and married with three children. |
Accountant Advisor: Sophie Nijembazi
Sophie is a professional accountant. Since 1991, she works as a manager of medicine stocks at Mutuelle de la Fonction Publique, the governmental institution that imports medication. In 2011, she started her involvement in Cup of Cool Water. She feels passionate about the CCW Reconciliation and Trauma Healing Programme because she suffered trauma herself and was later healed. Sophie is 48 years old and married with five children. |
Manager: Melance Niyonkuru
Mélance is a bachelor and 32 years old. In Cup of Cool Water he is involved since 2009 and he currently holds the position of treasurer. Mélance is nearly at the end of his BA studies in Hospital Management at Burundi National University, which he started in 2011. He has been helping CCW mainly in report writing and the building of the Goat farm as well many more activities. |
Spiritual advisor: Pastor Ezekiel Murwanashaka
Pastor Ezekiel hails from the DR Congo. He was ordained as a Pastor in Burundi in 2012. Once born again in 1968, he was influenced by Daniel the prophet and he devoted his life to prayers. He used to pray three times a day asking God to teach him how to pray properly and was divinely given a gift of prophecy and praying for the sick. In his church he was a choir member, intercessor and then Evangelist. When the war broke out in DRC in 1996, he fled to Rwanda before deciding to settle into Burundi in 2001. Pastor Ezekiel is 64 years old and married with six children. He joined CCW in 2010. "CCW staffs are truthful, reliable with good ideas rooted in the Bible as caring for orphans, widows and other destitute is one of God’s concern." |
Member: Munezero Justin
Justin works as a professional artist in Bujumbura city. After his secondary education in Kinyinya (Ruyigi Province), he attended the Ecole Technique Secondarire d'Art (E.T.S.A.), where he graduated with a diploma in Visual Arts. Besides his occupation as an independent artist, he also works in the print office PACOBU in Bujumbura. He is an active member of Cup of Cool Water since 2009. Member: Pierre Claver Mpayimana
Pierre Claver did Politic Economics at the National University of Burundi between 2007 and 2012. He is last publication in Aid Management: Aide International et les Services Sociaux de Base au Burundi 1990-2009 (International Aid and basic social services in Burundi 1990-2009). After studies, he had been trained in Healing wounds from ethnic conflicts in Mercy Ministries International in partnership with CCW. This training allowed him to be recruited in Bible Society of Burundi as Coordinator in Peace and Reconciliation and Trauma Healing Project since 2014 until now. He is an outcome of CCW because since he met Charles NDIKUMANA, he began his process of healing of wounds from childhood. For now, he testifies that he met a loving father who takes care of him forever challenged his life. Pierre Claver is 35 years old and is married to Eduige Nshimirimana since May 2014. |
